LEXINGTON ? Over the weekend, Kentucky soccer standouts Michael D?Agostino and Masumi Turnbull each earned two caps for Canada?s U-20 National Team in a friendly two-game series against the United States.

The two sides faced off on Friday in Toronto and on Sunday in Kingston, Ontario. The USA held on for a 2-1 victory in the first contest before Canada earned a 1-1 draw to wrap up the series. D?Agostino started both games while Turnbull started the first and came on as a reserve in the second.

It is the second straight international series the Wildcats duo has been on the national team roster. In May, the pair joined the U-20 team in a three-game series against Brazil and helped Canada to one victory against the world power.

Since the end of Kentucky?s 2005 season, D?Agostino has earned three caps to bring his career total to eight. Turnbull picked up the first two caps of his career this weekend after not getting on the field against Brazil.

Both D?Agostino and Turnbull are British Columbia natives and have prior international experience. Other current UK players who have competed internationally for Canada are seniors Riley O?Neill and Nathan Li.
