LEXINGTON ? The Kentucky baseball team has added a game to this week?s schedule and will now host a doubleheader on Wednesday at Cliff Hagan Stadium against Murray State beginning at 3 p.m.

The original schedule had the two teams playing a single game starting at 7 p.m. The extra game was added to help UK make up for having two games early in the season cancelled due to inclement weather.

The first game of the double header will be a seven-inning contest. The second game is slated for nine innings and will be televised by the Big Blue Sports Network. It can be seen in Lexington on UPN as well as in selected markets on FSN South.

Kentucky, fresh off a sweep of No. 7 South Carolina, has won five games in a row heading into the contest. Last year, the Wildcats beat Murray 8-1 for their fourth straight victory in the series.
