RALEIGH, N.C. ? The University of Kentucky men?s golf team is tied for first after the first two rounds of the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate at MacGregor Downs Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. The Wildcats fired a season-low 275 (-13) in the opening round. They followed that with a second-round 292 (+4) to finish with a nine-under par total of 567. The Cats are tied with North Carolina who also shot 567 (282-285) on the first day of play.

The Cats and Tar Heels have a one-stroke lead on Duke who is in second place with a total of 568 (277-291). Houston is fourth with a score of 574 (285-289), while Southeastern Conference foe Vanderbilt rounds out the top five with a score of 575 (278-288).

Sophomore Brad Doster fired a career-low 67 in the first round and followed that with an even par 72 in the second. Doster?s total score of 139 ranks him fourth in the individual standings with one round to play. Senior Matt Kohn is tied for 13th with a day one total of 143 (70-73), followed by freshman Andy Winings who is also in the top 20 with a score of 144 (69-75) to tie for 16th overall. Freshman Dan Woltman is tied for 33rd with a two-round total of 146 (74-72). Junior Tyler Wilson shot a career-low 69 in the opening round before carding an 81 in the second round to finish tied for 51st overall with a score of 150.

The two-day tournament wraps up with the third and final round on Saturday, Apr. 8. Tee time is set for 8 a.m.
