Women's Soccer

The University of Kentucky women?s soccer team will give fans a chance to see a preview of the 2006 squad as it hosts a pair of spring games this week. The Wildcats will face an international opponent and a local team during the brief two-game homestand.

UK will face its first international foe of the spring as it welcomes England?s Wolverhampton University to Lexington on Monday, April 10. Game time is set for 8 p.m. at the UK Soccer Complex.

In the final home match of the spring season, the Wildcats will face the U15 Lexington FC Boys on Wednesday, April 12. That match is also slated for an 8 p.m. start.

The Cats wrap up the spring slate on April 22 against a second 2005 NCAA qualifier in Illinois in Carmel, Ind. The game, which is the featured college game at the Crossroads of America Showcase hosted by Carmel United Soccer Club, is set for 7:30 p.m. at Carmel High School which is located just north of Indianapolis.

Both home matches are open to the public and admission is free.
