LEXINGTON, Ky. ? University of Kentucky sophomore Brad Doster has been named the Southeastern Conference Golfer of the Week, the league office announced today.

Doster turned his best career finish as he tied for third at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational in Statesboro, Ga., this weekend with a five-under par score of 211 (69-70-72). He eagled the par-five seven in the third and final round this weekend and had seven birdies during the tournament.

Doster was one stroke away from tying his career low round of 68, which he set earlier this season at the Gator Invitational. This is the third top 10 finish of the season and of Doster?s career. He tied for 10th at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate and also during the fall at the Gary Koch Intercollegiate.

Through seven tournaments this season, Doster has posted a 73.24 stroke average, while his stroke average for the past three spring tournaments is 71.33.

Doster and the Wildcats return to action this weekend, Mar. 26-28, at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Invitational in Awendaw, S.C.
