WHY TO WATCH OUT FOR KENTUCKY

? Kentucky is 9-2 with three wins over 2005 NCAA Regional Teams.
? The Wildcats lead the SEC in seven offensive categories, including runs/game. UK is in the top four in the league in every category except stolen bases.
? Kentucky has seven starters batting .310 or better. The lone consistent starter not hitting at least .300 is John Shelby, a second-team preseason All-American who went .344-10-52 last season.
? UK starters have six quality starts in 13 games and have not allowed more than five runs in any outing. As a staff, the Wildcats have issued fewer than two walks per game, the second lowest mark in the SEC.
? Kentucky has led in all three of its losses this season. The Wildcats have been within one run as late as the eighth inning in all three as well.

QUICK NOTES ? Antone DeJesus has a hit in all 12 games he has batted in this year. Dating back to last year, DeJesus has a hit in 19 consecutive games.
? Catcher Sean Coughlin is the reigning SEC Player of the Week. To earn the award, he led UK to a 4-1 record with three home runs, three doubles, five RBIs and 11 runs scored. He also walked seven times in the five games.
? Sophomore Andrew Albers returned to action this past week after experiencing tenderness in his arm. He has pitched 2 2/3 innings in two appearances and has not allowed a run while recording one win. Albers was the Sunday starter for UK in SEC play a season ago.
? Greg Dombrowski has not walked a batter in 21 innings this season. Dating back to last year, he has not walked a batter in 37.2 innings.
? A win-loss pattern has emerged for Kentucky this season. En route to its first nine wins, Kentucky has three three-game winning streaks before a loss snapped each one. ? The Wildcats are 5-2 in their 16-game homestand.
