DORADO, Puerto Rico ? The University of Kentucky men?s golf team maintained its second-place status at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate in Puerto Rico after firing a day two score of 287. That score brings the Wildcats two-round total to 569, seven strokes behind Texas Tech who leads the 11-team field with a score of 562 (280-282).

Three Wildcats are tied for fifth overall as Brad Doster, Andy Winings and Matt Kohn have all posted two-day scores of 140 (-4). Kohn gained the most ground with his three-under par 69, followed by Doster who shot a 70 in the second day of play. Winings turned in a one-under par 71 to tie with his teammates in fifth place in the individual standings. Tyler Wilson also ranks among the top ten as the Lexington native is now -2 for the tournament with his second-round 70 which gives him a two-day total of 142 (72-70). Freshman Dan Woltman rounds out the scoring for Kentucky with a total score of 150 (74-76).

Host-team Georgia State (571) moved up a spot into third place, while Louisville (573) and Charlotte (574) round out the top five.

The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 7, for the third and final round.
