Men's Golf

The University of Kentucky men?s golf team returns to tournament action this weekend, Feb. 18-19, at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla. The No. 11 Wildcats will play two rounds on Saturday, followed by a third and final round on Sunday.

Kentucky joins No. 4 Florida, No. 8 Georgia State, Georgia Southern, No. 15 Wake Forest, No. 22 Tulsa, LSU, Central Florida, Florida State, Purdue, UAB, Ohio State and North Florida in the 13-team field.

Senior Matt Kohn, junior Tyler Wilson, sophomore Brad Doster and freshmen Andy Winings and Dan Woltman will represent the Wildcats at this weekend?s tournament.

?The Gator Invitational is our first event of what I plan on being a great spring for our team,? said head coach Brian Craig. ?We have had better weather to prepare than last year which should help us to get in competitive shape a little quicker. I am excited about the young team we have and can’t wait to get started again this spring.?

The first round begins with a shtogun start at 8 a.m., while the second round is slated to begin at 1 p.m. Tee times will be assigned the final day with play beginning at 8 a.m.
