LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 19 Kentucky men?s tennis team returns to the courts Friday against No. 49 North Carolina State at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center. The Cats (2-1, 0-0 SEC) have been off since Feb. 5 when they dropped a tightly contested match against then No. 15 Ohio State 4-3 at the Lexington Tennis Club.
Kentucky will look to their three ranked singles players to get them back on the winning track. Freshman Bruno Agostinelli is currently the team?s highest ranked player at No. 48. The Niagara Falls, Canada, native recorded his first two wins of the dual match season against Butler and Ohio State.
Senior Alex Hume, ranked No. 61, has also won his first two dual matches this spring. The Alexandria, Va., native currently owns a four match winning streak.
Rounding out the Cats three ranked players is senior Nate Emge. The native of Evansville, Ind., also has won his first two dual matches and teams with Hume to be the nation?s 40th-ranked doubles team. The duo is currently on a five match winning streak.
