BLOOMINGTON, Ind. ? The University of Kentucky track and field teams finished competition at the Hoosier Relays Saturday. Freshman sprinter Gordon McKenzie took second in the 200 with a career-best mark of 21.51, good for sixth all-time indoors at UK.

McKenzie also competed in the 60, placing third with a time of 6.80. McKenzie has been just shy of NCAA provisional marks in both events (60-6.72, 200-21.23) but will have his chance next weekend as the Cats compete on Iowa State?s 300-meter track.

Sophomore Justin Harrison fell .5 from hitting a provisional mark after a season-best and fourth place finish in the 400 (47.30).

Sophomore Andre Silva came through with a PR in the mile, placing second with a time of 4:15.80, while sophomore Dan Hutson placed first in the 600 in a time of 1:19.72.

Junior Gavin Ball took third in the shot put with a season-best toss of 57-10.50.

On the women?s side, freshman Ashley Muffet added to her already impressive resume with a first place finish in the shot put. Muffet?s toss of 52-2.75 gave the North Canton, Ohio native a new career-best for the second consecutive day. Muffet also placed fifth in the weight throw.

Senior Allison Grace ran a season-best 4:55.45 in the mile en route to a first place finish.

Freshman Mary Durham broke the UK indoor pole vault record with a season-best jump of 11-7.75. Durham was a little more than an inch off of former Cat Liz Littredge?s school record (11-9, 2002).

Kentucky travels to Ames, Iowa next weekend for the Iowa State Classic, Feb. 10-11.
