The Kentucky swimming & diving team will compete in the 20th annual Nike Cup Swimming & Diving Championships starting Thursday in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The Nike Cup, to be held at the Maurice J. Koury Natatorium, will have the Cats competing against host North Carolina, Clemson, East Carolina, Florida International, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.

?We are going to this meet looking to improve our times and have a chance to make the finals in a lot of events,? head coach Gary Conelly said. ?I expect to see a lot of career-best swims out of our team this weekend.?

The three day meet will run through Saturday with preliminary rounds of each event beginning each morning and the finals taking place at 6 p.m. EST. each night.
