ATHENS, Ga. ? The Kentucky men?s tennis team swept each of its three doubles matches Saturday and senior Nate Emge posted his second consecutive victory over a ranked opponent at the Bulldog Scramble hosted by the University of Georgia.

Emge and senior Alex Hume defeated Ricardo Gonzalez and Josh Varela 8-6 in doubles play, while freshmen Shane Collins and Marcus Sundh beat South Carolina?s Geraldo Knorr and Thomas Stoddard 8-6. In the squad?s final doubles match, freshman Kenny Hodge and senior Carey Rubin topped the Gamecocks? Kazuya Otani and Joe Veeder, 8-1.

In singles play, Emge topped Ole Miss? Eric Claesson, 6-3, 6-2, to mark his second win over a ranked opponent in as many days at the Bulldog Scramble. Rubin topped Bram ten Burge of Ole Miss, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5. Hodge eased past South Carolina?s Stoddard, 6-4, 6-3.

Freshman Bruno Agostinelli dropped the third-set tie breaker and fell 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (4) to South Carolina?s Knorr. Hume fell to Juan Pablo Di Cesare, of Ole Miss, 6-4, 6-1. Stefan Tell of Florida defeated Sundh in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, 7-5, while the Gators? Shaun Young topped Collins 6-3, 6-1.

Doubles and singles matches at the Bulldog Scramble will continue at 9 a.m. Sunday.
