Kentucky freshman Marcus Sundh recorded two more victories Saturday to advance to the finals of the Flight A Draw at the Louisville Fall Invitational.
In Sundh?s quarterfinal match he swept Southern Illinois? Andrey Bubnov in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. In the semifinals, Sundh defeated Stefan Naughton of Louisville 6-3, 6-0. Sundh will face another Cardinal, Robert Rotaru, in Sunday?s final.
In other singles action, freshman Shane Collins lost his first round match of the consolation draw. Collins fell in three sets to Southern Illinois? Tomas Gonzalez 3-6, 6-1, 10-8.
Collins once again teamed with Sundh to register another victory in the Flight A Doubles Draw. The duo advanced to the semifinals by beating James Low and Eric Breitenbach of Butler 8-3.
