The Kentucky volleyball program announces the sale of season tickets for the first time in the program?s 28-year history. Season tickets, which are on sale now, will cover all 13 home matches, including eight tough Southeastern Conference battles.
?Selling tickets is monumental for our program,? Coach Craig Skinner said. ?The sport of volleyball has great value and our administration recognizes its growth potential. Our athletes work and train at the highest level and will play an exciting brand of volleyball. Kentucky fans will appreciate their experience watching our team in Memorial Coliseum.?
The season-ticket package is available for $20 with all seating being general admission. Fans also have the option of joining UK?s True Blue Club, which offers an admission pass to all home men?s and women?s soccer, baseball, gymnastics and volleyball matches for the 2005-06 school year. Those passes are available for $25 for individuals and $40 for a family pass (up to five members, maximum of two adults) and cover over 75 home athletic events. Single-game tickets for volleyball this season will be $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for senior citizens and youth (age 6-18). UK students, faculty and staff receive free admission. Single game tickets are all general admission, and can be purchased via www.ukathletics.com, by calling the ticket office at 1-800-928-2287 or at the ticket office prior to, or on the day of, the event.
Kentucky volleyball opens the home schedule on Friday, Sept. 9, facing Eastern Illinois. Other non-conference teams include Wright State, Morehead State and Cincinnati. This year?s home SEC schedule features Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
