LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky field events squad wrapped up the Triton Invitational in San Diego, Calif., Saturday. Sophomore Andy Fryman, freshman Alek Grietens and senior Gennessa Guzman all recorded regional qualifying marks.

Fryman and Grietens both tallied season-best throws in the men?s discus. Fryman recorded a heave of 170-07 and Grietens finished with a toss of 167-05. Guzman?s heave of 158-07 in the women?s discus was her second regional qualifying toss of the season.

Fryman and Grietens also competed in the men?s shot put finishing with tosses of 54-01.75 and 48-11, respectively.

The Cats next compete at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa., April 28-30.
