LEXINGTON ? The Kentucky baseball team has added a game to the schedule Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Cliff Hagan Stadium against Georgetown College.

The addition of the game is to help make up for four games that the Wildcats have had cancelled due to inclement weather, including Sunday?s game against Georgia.

?It?s a deal where we are a very young team and we need to get games in,? said Kentucky coach John Cohen. ?We just don?t have the experience out there right now. You look at our line up Saturday against Georgia and we only had three players out there who had ever competed in an SEC game. The more our young players can get on the field, the better off we?ll be.?

It is the second time this year Kentucky has added a game. Earlier this year, the Wildcats added a game against Cumberland College and rallied from a six-run deficit to win on Michael Bertram?s three-run walk-off homer in the ninth.

Tuesday?s game will be the first non-conference outing for Kentucky in two weeks. The Wildcats have had a pair of three-game series against Southeastern Conference foes Alabama and Georgia the past two weekends.

Kentucky has dropped seven straight overall, but four have been by two runs or less while another came as the Wildcats led heading into the ninth.

Junior Kalen Gibson will get the nod for Kentucky against Georgetown. Normally a weekend starter, Gibson will throw Tuesday since his scheduled start on Sunday was cancelled. The Slaughters, Ky., native owns a 3-1 record this year with a 3.60 earned run average.

Kentucky leads the series 62-11 all-time. Last year, the Wildcats scored an 8-4 victory over the Tigers.
