LEXINGTON, Ky.? Kentucky gymnast Lindsay Cameron was named to the first annual Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Good Works Team, which highlights an athlete from each school who gives back to her community in superior service efforts.

Cameron, a senior from Cookeville, Tenn., is actively involved with Kentucky?s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and volunteers at several local elementary and middle school mentoring programs. Cameron also helps at hospitals throughout the Lexington community.

The journalism major was named to the Dean’s List four semesters and named to the SEC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll for two years. Cameron was the Outreach/Community Service Gymnastics Representative and acted as the director of UK Athletics/God’s Pantry Food Drive for two years.
