No. 6 Kentucky (13-3, 2-0) looks to prolong its seven-match win streak Friday when the Cats visit No. 31 South Carolina (6-2, 1-1). The match is set for 2 p.m. EST at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center in Columbia.

Kentucky heads south for its first SEC road match after a successful opening weekend of conference play against Ole Miss and Mississippi State. The Cats blanked Ole Miss by a 7-0 count before holding on for a 4-3 win over Mississippi State in the Cats? first home outdoor match of the season.

UK is enjoying a stretch of outstanding play throughout its doubles and singles lineups. Since dropping the doubles point to Michigan on Feb. 26, the Cats have won nine-consecutive doubles matches. Kentucky?s sixth-ranked tandem of senior Aibika Kalsarieva and sophomore Sarah Foster has won five-consecutive matches. UK?s 13th-ranked sophomore duo of Kim Coventry and Joelle Schwenk and the tandem of senior Emily Foster and Lara Maurer helped Kentucky remain unbeaten in doubles play through its last three matches.

Kalsarieva, the ITA?s eighth-ranked singles player, is unbeaten in her last nine singles matches. Sarah Foster and Coventry have won seven-straight matches apiece, and Schwenk has captured five of her last six singles contests.

Kentucky defeated South Carolina by a 5-2 count a season ago in Lexington and owns a 13-9 advantage in the series between the two schools.
