LEXINGTON, Ky.? The University of Kentucky track and field squads travel to Fayetteville, Ark. for the Tyson Invitational Feb 11-12. The competition will be held in the Randal Tyson Track Center with professional athletes competing Friday night in the Visa Championship Series and collegiate competitors taking the stage Saturday.

The Cats 4×400-meter relay team will be the only Kentucky representation in Friday night?s professional field competition beginning at 7 p.m. The professional field includes the likes of gold medalist Veronica Campbell, bronze medalists Lauryn William, Melissa-Howard and a host of others. Friday night action ends with the mile at 9 p.m.

Saturday action begins with the women?s distance medley relay at 9 a.m. and continues throughout the day ending with the men?s 4×400-meter relay at 10 p.m. Kentucky?s two athletes named to the Trackwire Dandy Dozen, 11th-ranked high jumper Michael Mason and 10th ranked 800-meter specialist Beth Heimann will compete Saturday. Heimann is scheduled to compete in the 800 meters at 7:10 p.m. and Mason will compete in the high jump at 6 p.m.
