Freshman Crissy Cannon is the latest UK ?Gymnast of the Week? as chosen by the coaching staff. Cannon has competed for the Cats in every meet of her collegiate career for Kentucky. She recorded solid performances in the first quad meet of her collegiate career helping No. 18 Kentucky roll over No. 19 Ohio State, Ball State and George Washington. Cannon posted career-highs on bars with a 9.775 and floor with a 9.800. She also helped guide UK to a season-high team score of 195.525 with a 9.675 on beam.

?I feel Crissy had the meet of her life thus far,? said Muhammad. ?She is the ideal prototype of a student-athlete, working hard in the gym and working extremely hard in the classroom. She works hard everyday in the gym to get better and could do no better in the class room last semester, yielding a 4.0. We are extremely proud to have Crissy in our program and we look forward to helping her continually reach new heights.?

The Lenoir City, Tenn., native has been a strong part of the team as a freshman, garnering career-highs of 9.775 or better on bars, beam and floor in 2005.
