Senior guard/forward Sara Potts scored a team-high 18 points vs. the Lady Bulldogs, moving her to No. 9 on UK?s all-time scoring list. ?We are looking forward to getting back on the court in a re-match against Florida this season,? UK Coach Mickie DeMoss said. ?They play a veteran team, and Bernice Mosby, a junior, is one of the best players in the conference. She?s just having a really, really good year. I think Florida is a team that is a lot better than their record shows. They have lost a lot of games in the closing minutes.?

Mosby leads three players in double-figure scoring in conference play with 15.8 ppg overall and 16.8 ppg in conference action. She also is the team?s leading rebounder, averaging 8.4 boards per game. Forward Tamia Williams is averaging 15 ppg and center Tashia Morehead is adding 10.3 ppg.

The Gators (12-10, 3-6 SEC) are riding a five game losing streak, including a 91-82 overtime loss to No. 5 Tennessee last Thursday and a 77-66 loss to Alabama on Sunday. Former UK assistant coach Carolyn Peck is in her third season as the head coach of the Gators with a record of 97-51 in her coaching career. Peck has connections to DeMoss, having served as an assistant coach at Tennessee from 1993-95.

Florida owns an 18-15 lead in the all-time series, but Kentucky holds an 8-7 advantage over the Gators when playing in Lexington. Florida has won four of the last five meetings between the two squads, but the Cats won the last game played in Lexington, 49-47, in 2003.
