LEXINGTON – The 13th-ranked Kentucky men?s tennis squad claimed 11 of 12 singles matches on its way to easy wins over DePaul and Belmont Sunday at UK?s Boone Tennis Center. Kentucky dealt DePaul a 6-1 defeat and blanked Belmont by a 6-0 count.

UK opened its match against DePaul with doubles victories from the duos of senior Tigran Martirosyan and freshman Marcus Sundh and junior Nate Emge and Nolan Polley. Kentucky?s 108th-ranked Martirosyan scored the first Wildcat singles win at No. 2 by defeating Robert Kotrocxo by a 6-2, 6-3 count. Sundh followed with a straight-set win over Sam Davidson, and senior Matt Emery clinched the match with a win over DePaul?s Will Wang. The 120th-ranked Emge added a three-set win at the No. 1 position, and freshman Nolan Polley picked up his first career dual-match win to round out the scoring for Kentucky.

Kentucky completed a singles sweep of Belmont without a single match advancing to a third set. Junior Carey Rubin, playing his first semester at Kentucky after transferring from Michigan, picked up his first dual-match win as a Wildcat. Martirosyan, Sundh and Polley picked up their second wins on the day, and sophomore Jason Mallaiah and Matt Allinder added their first victories of the season.

Kentucky (2-0) returns to the court Wednesday against Appalachian State and Abilene Christian.
