LEXINGTON ? The Kentucky rifle team returns to action for the third straight weekend on Sunday when it takes part in the 26th Annual Pat Withrow Invitational hosted by Murray State.
The Wildcats will be competing in a 10 team field that includes three teams they have beaten already this year: Ole Miss, Memphis, Ohio State among others.
In the past two weekends, Kentucky has split a pair of matches, falling to Nebraska before beating Xavier. In the win over the Musketeers, the Wildcats fired a 4621, which was the third highest score of the year for the team.
Freshman Ray Geyer continues to pace Kentucky as he shot 581 smallbore and 584 air rifle scores a week ago. All-American Vicki Goss returned to form in the Xavier match as well with a season best 586 on smallbore.
The invitational began on Friday and wraps up on Sunday.
