Kentucky junior Carey Rubin moved to the finals of the ?B? singles bracket with a pair of victories Saturday at the Rice Indoor Invitational in Houston, Texas.

Rubin defeated Rice?s Take Morita by a 1-6, 6-4, 7-5 count in the quarterfinals before eliminating teammate Marcus Sundh in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-4. Sundh had advanced to the semifinals on the strength of a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win over top-seeded Luis Diaz-Barriga of Texas.

Freshman Nolan Polley will play for the consolation flight title Sunday after picking up a pair of victories Saturday.
