Ashlee Fisher, a 5-11 middle blocker and outside hitter from West Bend, Wis., and Erin Turner, a 6-0 outside hitter from Winnetka, Calif., have each signed a national letter of intent to play volleyball at Kentucky in 2005.

Fisher, a senior at West Bend West High School, helped guide her squad to the Wisconsin state title match in early November, earning all-tournament team honors. She was named second-team all-conference in the Little Ten and earned all-county recognition in 2004. Fisher was named West Bend West?s most valuable player this season and finished the year with 389 kills, 158 digs and 46 blocks.

Fisher was a three-year letterwinner in volleyball and also earned a high school letter in track and basketball. She has played for the Milwaukee Sting club program since her freshman year and helped guide her 15-Open team to a third-place finish at nationals. Her 16-Open team took second at nationals in 2003, where she earned All-America honors.

Turner recently completed her senior season at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, Calif., where she?s earned three varsity letters. She was named first-team All-Mission League as a junior in 2003 while earning her team?s Most Valuable Player award. As a sophomore in 2002, Turner was a second-team All-Mission League selection. She was named a Scholar Athlete in 2001, 2002 and 2003 and was selected as the Best JV Offensive Player in 2001.

Turner plays club volleyball for Santa Monica Beach Club where her 17-1 team finished sevent at the Volleyball Festival in Reno, Nev., last year. Her 16-1 team finished 14th overall at the Southern California Volleyball Association Tournament in 2003.
