Seven different Wildcats will participate in event finals this evening after swimming qualifying preliminary times Friday afternoon at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Ind.

Senior Tim Patrick led Kentucky with a 50-freestyle time of 20.07, the top time of the morning. A pair of his Wildcat teammates, junior Daniel Farnham and senior Clay Gasparovich, took second and third, while senior Daniel Cruz took sixth. All four will advance to this evening?s final.

Freshman Jenny Bradford swam a second-place time in the 200 individual medley and a second-place time in the 50 freestyle to advance to the finals of each event. Senior Jerram Chudleigh took second in the 500 freestyle and third in the 200 individual medley. Junior Steven Manley and freshman Grant Nelson join Chudleigh in the 500 freestyle final after placing third and seventh, respectively.

The event finals are slated for 7 p.m. EDT at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.
