Wisconsin prep swimming standout Shane Eliason has signed a national letter-of-intent to join the University of Kentucky men?s swimming program, UK Swimming Coach Gary Conelly announced today.

Eliason, a Sturgeon Bay, Wis., native has a history of strong performances in the 100 butterfly and 100 and 200 backstroke events in state meets. The product of Sturgeon Bay H.S. will join the Cats in the fall of 2005.

?We?re excited to add a swimmer of Shane?s caliber to our program,? Conelly said. ?We expect him to further strengthen our backstroke and butterfly events. He has a great future ahead of him as a Wildcat.?
