Kentucky embarks upon its second road trip in as many weeks, as the Cats meet Indiana and Southwest Missouri State Saturday in Bloomington, Ind. The meet is set for 1 p.m. EST at the Counsilman/Billingsley Aquatic Center.
The Kentucky men (1-1) and women (1-1) head to Bloomington looking to rebound after suffering a pair of tough losses last weekend at Tennessee. The formerly 20th-ranked UK men took eight of 13 events but dropped a 123-120 decision to the 10th-ranked Vols, while the UK women fell on the short end of a 133-110 count.
The Kentucky men claimed a 119-112 victory over Indiana a season ago in Lexington, serving as the second men?s meet victory for UK Coach Gary Conelly over his alma mater. Conelly, a 1972 U.S. Olympian, was a 15-time All-American for the Hoosiers.
Movin? On Up
The Kentucky men moved up five spots from No. 20 to No. 15 in the latest CSCAA team rankings on the strength of their superior meet at Tennessee. One of Kentucky?s weekend opponents, Indiana, features the nation?s 13th-ranked men?s squad and 21st-ranked women?s team.
