UK senior Matt Emery scored a pair of victories to advance to the quarterfinals of the Louisville Invitational Friday at U of L?s Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.

Emery defeated Southern Illinois? Rodrigo Lama, 6-1, 7-5, and Iowa?s Kyle Markham by a 7-6 (9), 6-3 count. Emery will take on Louisville?s Nicolas Houard in the quarterfinals.

Martirosyan Advances in ITA All-American Consolation Draw

UK senior Tigran Martirosyan moved into the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championships consolation bracket with a straight-set victory Friday afternoon in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Martirosyan defeated New Mexico?s David Kowalski by a 6-3, 6-0 count to move on to the next round where he?ll meet UCLA?s Kris Kwinta Saturday morning.
