Kentucky opens practice for the 2004-05 men?s and women?s basketball season Friday, Oct. 15, as part of the 23rd-annual Big Blue Madness festivities. Coming off a 27-5 season that saw the Wildcats win the SEC East and Tournament titles, UK?s men return two starters who will be complimented by a highly-touted group of newcomers for Head Coach Tubby Smith?s eighth season. Second-year women?s coach Mickie DeMoss welcomes her own acclaimed recruiting class. The Memorial Coliseum doors open at 10:30 p.m. The event will be carried live throughout the state on UKTV.
Big Blue Madness tickets available Oct. 9
The highly-coveted Big Blue Madness tickets will be available Saturday, Oct. 9, at 7 a.m. at the Memorial Coliseum ticket office. Tickets will also be available via the internet at that same time. Internet tickets come with a $2 service fee per order. There is a limit of two tickets per person for both in-person and internet orders.
Blue/White Scrimmage set for Oct. 23
The Wildcats? Blue/White Scrimmage is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Memorial Coliseum. All tickets are general admission ($5) and go on sale Friday, Oct. 1, at the Memorial Coliseum Ticket Office or online at www.UKathletics.com.
