University of Kentucky?s men?s golf team ended the first day of play in tenth at the Ping Preview against the nation?s top teams. After 36 holes Brandon Waldrop leads the group of Kentucky seniors at three over, tied for 15th.

Wildcat Matt Wells finished the day at six over shooting (71-75) for Kentucky. Mark Blakefield fired an even second round after a nine over finish on the first 18 to end the day at nine over. John Holmes also finished at nine over for the first 36 holes, shooting two-over for the first round and seven over for the second. Jack Hudson shot (81-84) 165 to complete the Kentucky five.

Oklahoma State leads the tournament at four under with Pablo Martin the individual leader also from OSU at five under.

Play continues tomorrow at Caves Valley with staggered start tee times. The last 18 holes of play will begin at 7:30 a.m. EST.
