The 2004-05 women?s basketball team participated in team photo day on Aug. 24. The 13-member squad is highlighted by two returning starters in Sara Potts and Angela Phillips as well as the return of center Jennifer ?Lanky? Humphrey who missed most of last season with an illness. Lexington native Nastassia Alcius also is a welcome addition after sitting out last season due to NCAA transfer rules. Coach Mickie DeMoss inked the nation?s sixth-ranked recruiting class with the signing of five fresh faces that should make an immediate impact on the program: Eleia Roddy, Sarah Elliott, Samantha Mahoney, Chante Bowman and Sade Buley.
