Lexington, (Ky.) ? Kentucky will travel to Louisville on Wednesday for a scheduled contest against its intrastate rival Louisville Cardinals at 6 p.m. (ET) at Cardinal Stadium. The Wildcats dropped two of three over the weekend to Mississippi State and now stand at 16-15 on the season. Louisville enters the contest with an 18-13 mark and also looking to stop a two-game losing streak.
Kentucky leads the all-time series with the Cardinals, 53-29-1. Last year the two teams split a home-and-home series, with UK winning, 9-5, in Lexington and U of L taking a 7-5 decision in Louisville. The Wildcats had taken three in a row from the Cards prior to that.
Live stats of Wednesday?s contest will be available at www.ukathletics.com. The same two teams are also slated to meet each other on May 5 in Lexington. UK returns home this weekend for a three-game Southeastern Conference series with perennial national power South Carolina at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
