Lexington, (Ky.) ? Kentucky will step back into Southeastern Conference play this weekend when it welcomes the Mississippi State Bulldogs to Lexington for a three-game series. The Wildcats snapped their season-long eight-game losing streak on Wednesday night with an 8-4 win over Cincinnati at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
UK stands at 15-13 on the season and 2-7 in SEC play. The Bulldogs took a pair of games from No. 11 Southern Miss this week and come to Lexington at 19-10 (3-6 SEC). Kentucky split two games with State last season in Starkville, winning an 8-2 decision in the second game for its first SEC win of the year. The Wildcats won their first two league games in 2004 at Auburn, but have lost seven straight since.
