The Kentucky football team moved indoors to Nutter Field House for their second spring practice. On their last day without pads, the coaches took their position players and ran through drills. The final 30 minutes, the teams split up and ran some 11 on 11 with Shane Boyd and Andre’ Woodson alternating snaps.
Following practice, Coach Rich Brooks briefly talked about his strong wide receiver corps, including junior college transfer Scott Mitchell.
“He’s got to be a little more consistent catching the ball.” Brooks said of Mitchell. “But he did much better today than he did (Wednesday). He might be a little nervous – trying to learn a new system, trying to learn the routes. But he has the size, the speed and the ability to be a very good receiver. Like I said, the wide receiver position is going to be a very interesting position this spring.”
