The Kentucky track and field team will return to action on Friday, March 26, at the Stanford Track and Field Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. The Cats will be represented by reigning SEC Cross Country champion Thomas Morgan at the meet, who will compete in the 5,000-meter run Friday night.
Morgan, a three-time All-American selection and two-time All-SEC pick, will be one of more than 4,200 student athletes competing at the competition. The senior was a finalist at the NCAA Championships last year in the 5k, where he ran a solid time of 14:06.51 in the preliminaries to advance to the finals. His personal best of 13:59.39 in the event came in 2003 at the Louisville Cardinal qualifier.
