The 18th-ranked Kentucky men?s tennis team (10-4, 3-1) plays host to Butler Wednesday for a mid-week non-conference match-up. The match is slated for 6 p.m. EST at UK?s Boone Tennis Center.

The Cats enter Wednesday?s match winners of their last four matches, including a pair of weekend wins against top-25 opponents. Kentucky scored a decisive 6-1 win over No. 14 LSU before holding off No. 24 Arkansas by a 4-3 count.

SEC Player of the Week Jesse Witten has remained unbeaten in his last 10 matches and junior Tigran Martirosyan has won five-consecutive matches. Senior Rahim Esmail and sophomore Nate Emge are winners of their last three matches.

Cats Move Up in ITA Rankings The latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings are indicative of the Cats? year-long success. Kentucky moved up two spots this week to No. 16 in the team rankings. In the singles rankings, Witten cracked the top 10, coming in at No. 8 this week after being ranked No. 15 the last two weeks. Martirosyan advanced from No. 74 to No. 61.

Witten and Esmail entered the doubles rankings at No. 16.
