The University of Kentucky men?s golf team moved into a tie for third place following a 290 shot on Saturday in the second round of the Conrad Rehling Spring Invitational at the Ol? Colony Golf Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Junior John Holmes fired his second straight 69 to move to -6 and into first place overall in the individual standings.
Sophomore Matt Kohn bested his first round 75 with a one-under 71, placing him in a tie for 11th. Junior Matt Wells jumped a couple spots to 28th after his three-over 75. Juniors Mark Blakefield (75) and Brandon Waldrop (76) are currently tied for 43rd and 49th, respectively
The Cats are nine shots behind host Alabama and eight behind Jacksonville State heading into the final round on Sunday.
