Caitlin Phillips improved her NCAA qualifying mark in the 3,000 meters by nearly three seconds at the Florida Fast Times Meet on Saturday, March 6 in Gainesville, Fla. Phillips hit a personal best at the qualifying meet, as she finished the race in 9:26.52.

The Cats also sent three to the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. Kris Landers improved his 800-meter time to 1:50.35 at the meet, while Jean Balan and Paul Ciurlys finished the event in 1:51.55 and 1:52.14, respectively. Ciurlys has already provisionally qualified for the NCAAs with a time of 1:49.69 at the SEC Indoor Championships. Also at meet, Thomas Morgan beat a personal best in the mile run with a time of 4:10.14.

The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held March 12-13 in Fayetteville, Ark.
