The third-ranked University of Kentucky rifle team (7-2) completes the home portion of its 2003-04 schedule Saturday when the Cats meet fourth-ranked Xavier. The match is set for a 10 a.m. start at UK?s Buell Armory.

The match marks the final home event for seniors Melody Cook and Lindsey Meagher. Senior Bradley Wheeldon, who will miss the Xavier match while preparing for an overseas competition, completed his final home meet last month against TCU with a new school single-match aggregate scoring record.

UK Coach Harry Mullins understands the test the Musketeers present.

?This is going to be a tough match. Xavier is near the top nationally year in and year out. We need some people to really contribute tomorrow if we?re going to have a chance to win,? Mullins said.
