UK sophomore Alex Hume won two matches and freshman Matt Allinder claimed one of his own to advance to Friday?s main draw at the SEC Indoor Championships in Athens, Ga.

Hume made short work of LSU?s Danny Bryan in the first match of the day, winning 6-2, 6-2. Hume then took on Chris Brandi of third-ranked Florida and escaped in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1. Hume will battle Ole Miss? Paul Ciorascu at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.

Allinder started 2004 on a positive note with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Alabama?s Tom McVey before falling to LSU?s Cory Ross in a tough three setter, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3. However, Allinder took advantage of a ?lucky loser? designation and will advance to Friday?s main draw because of the absence of several players previously slated for the main draw. As a result, Allinder will meet Tennessee?s Wade Orr on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

The remainder of the Kentucky contingent will compete at the following times:
