Kentucky defender Kara McCue is one of 12 honorees selected to the SEC Good Works Team, a squad comprised of conference players who have made significant contributions to their respective communities.

McCue, a senior from Hamilton, Ohio, has served as a swim teacher and tutored hearing-impaired children at the KidsFirst Sports Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, enrolling in sign language courses at UK to aide her in the instruction of the children. McCue also is a regular in UK’s Schoolhouse Rock program, a day-long variety show administered and programmed by UK student-athletes.

McCue, an integrated strategic communications major, is a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
