Jones named to SEC All-Freshman team

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — Kentucky seniors Elizabeth Ramsey and Amber Wilson accepted first-team All-SEC honors Wednesday evening at the annual SEC post-season awards banquet in Orange Beach, Ala. Freshman Elisabeth Jones was named to the SEC All-Freshman team.

Ramsey, a forward from Hilliard, Ohio, collects her second-consecutive first-team All-SEC honor after earning second-team honors as a sophomore. Wilson, a defender out of West Chester, Ohio, accepts her first All-SEC award. Jones, a forward from Nicholasville, Ky., earned the All-Freshman team selection after scoring two goals in conference play, including one game winner.

“These are very well-deserved honors,” UK Coach Warren Lipka said. “They have all had terrific seasons and these selections are indicative of the hard work they’ve put in along the way.”
