LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP)Gerald Fitch and Patrick Sparks scored 23 points apiece and Chuck Hayes added 22 points and 13 rebounds in Kentucky’s Blue-White scrimmage on Saturday night.

The 6-foot-3 Fitch went 8-of-19 from the field, but only 2-of-7 from 3-point range. The senior also had seven assists.

Sparks, a guard who transferred from Western Kentucky, went 9-of-14 from the field and 5-of-9 from 3-point range. Sparks must sit out this season, according to NCAA rules.

The 6-6 Hayes, a junior forward, had five assists and three steals.

The game ended in a 77-77 tie.

“It is not about winning or losing right now,” said Kentucky coach Tubby Smith. “It is about getting better. I think we left on a high note.”

Shagari Alleyne, a 7-3 freshman center from New York City, had 15 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Kelenna Azubuike had 14 points, Cliff Hawkins and Antwain Barbour had 13 points each and Erik Daniels had 12.
