The University of Kentucky swimming & diving program kicks off a new season Thursday when the Cats participate in the intrasquad Blue-White meet. The action begins at 4 p.m. at UK’s Lancaster Aquatic Center.

“This is a chance for our student-athletes to compete against one another, but more than anything, it’s an opportunity for them to have fun and enjoy themselves,” UK Swimming Coach Gary Conelly said.

“We’ll compete in events you would not normally see during a regular-season competition, and they also will swim different distances.”

Last season, the UK men finished in 17th place at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Austin, Texas.
