Sophomore Nate Emge and junior Tigran Martirosyan each moved on to the round of 16 Sunday at the ITA All-American Pre-Qualies event in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Emge registered a 6-4, 6-2 decision over Jaime Rodriguez of Georgia State, and is set to take on Alejandro Salazar of East Tennessee State on Monday. Martirosyan advanced with a tough three-set win over North Carolina’s Andy Metzler. After dropping the first set, 2-6, Martirosyan rebounded to take the second set, 7-5, before capturing the match with an impressive 6-0 third set. Martirosyan will battle Montana State’s Federico Ueltschi in Monday’s round of 16.
