BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Kentucky men’s soccer team (5-3-1) will begin its ninth season in the Mid-American Conference, Sunday Oct. 5, when it takes on Bowling Green State (3-4-2) in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Wildcats are coming off a 2-1 victory over Appalachian State on Friday. The Falcons defeated Buffalo, 1-0, in overtime in its last outing.

UK and BGSU are tied in the all-time series, 7-7-1. Bowling Green won the last meeting between the two schools, 2-1, in the semifinals of the MAC tournament last season.

Kentucky is 34-12-3 all-time against MAC opponents since joining the league in 1995. UK was picked to win the 2003 conference tournament title in a preseason coach’s poll.

The Wildcats have had a balanced offensive attack through the first half of the season as 12 different players have scored goals or recorded assists.
