Kentucky’s women’s golf team finished 12th at the Cougar Fall Classic on Tuesday, with a three round score of 940 at the par 72 Yeaman’s Hall Golf Course in Hanahan, S.C. The Cats, who entered today’s final round in 13th, surpassed Penn State by shooting a 311 in the final 18 holes.

Sophomore transfer Erin Faulkner was impressive for the second consecutive day, shooting a three-over 75 and leading Kentucky in her first tournament with a tie for 21st. Senior Eva Gessner made up ground in the final round as well, carding a 74 in the final 18 holes to finish just behind Faulkner in 27th. Marissa Muir (t-64), Emily Culbertson (t-70) and Stacy Springer (t-78) rounded out the Cats’ lineup.

Notre Dame led the 17-team field with a 25-over par performance, followed by Furman and Miami (Fla.). The Hurricane’s Tina Miller held onto her top rank by finishing as the only player in the tournament below par at two under.

The Wildcats continue their season in two weeks, when they travel to Nashville, Tenn., for the Mason Rudolph Women’s Championship Sept. 26-28.
