$11,364.46 Collected for United Way: A total of $11,364.46 was collected for the United Way of the Bluegrass on Saturday at the Murray State game.
At the end of the first quarter, United Way volunteers passed collection buckets in the stands and fans were encouraged to contribute to the campaign via a video-board message from UK President Dr. Lee T. Todd and First Lady Patsy Todd. United Way of the Bluegrass is the official charity of the University of Kentucky and helps support more than 80 charitable and social services agencies in Central Kentucky. The collection at the Murray State game was the kickoff for this year’s United Way drive at UK.
Approximately $8,000 was collected during a game last season.
