The UK women’s soccer team wraps up its stint in the Nike Carolina Classic Sunday when the Wildcats take on eighth-ranked Duke in Chapel Hill, N.C. The match is set for 12 p.m. ET at UNC’s Fetzer Field.
The Cats look to end their road trip on a high note after suffering a 4-0 rout at top-ranked North Carolina on Friday evening. UK managed only three shots for the game, and Carolina added three second-half goals to run away with the easy victory. Meanwhile, Duke enters Sunday’s match with an unblemished record in three matches with two of those victories coming against ranked opponents. The Blue Devils recorded a 3-1 victory Friday over 14th-ranked Nebraska in the first half of the Nike Carolina Classic.
Kentucky returns home next weekend where the Cats will play host to Brigham Young, Iowa and Rutgers in the two-day UK Invitational.
